You shouldn t have to scrub hard.
Water and soap stains on granite.
Just about 20 seconds of light rubbing and then wash and wipe up the bar keepers powder.
Work the cloth in a circular motion allowing the alcohol to fully penetrate the stain.
To remove a soap stain from granite try soaking a sponge with water don t wring out and leave the wet sponge on the soap stain until the water evaporates.
Step 3 reapply rubbing alcohol to the cloth and wipe the soap stain until it is completely removed.

Although most of this will disappear as the water evaporates there will be some telling marks to show that a stain has been there.
To deal with these greasy stains mix baking soda and a few drops of acetone to make a paste that should cover the spot and be left for 24 hours then rinse with water and reseal the stone.

Stains left by oily soaps the essential oils found in specialty soaps feel great on the skin but they re prone to staining granite surfaces.
Once you have tested your granite then apply a small amount of bar keepers friend to a microfiber cloth.
Rub the moistened cloth over the soap stains on the granite.
Start rubbing at the water stain on the granite.
