Once lifted or lowered the lock will hold the string and cord in place. Cut a length of cord for each column of rings approximately twice the length of the blind plus the blind width. After this pull the thread up through the top and then slide the thread through the smaller hole on the lock. Attach a cord to each bottom ring breakout and thread up through the rings breakouts through the eyelet of the batten directly above and then across through the eyelets along the batten to the side the blind will be pulled from.

Now you will repeat this again for another piece of string but thread it through the larger hole once you reach the top. Now push your lift cord up through the two wheels that are on the inside of the lock. The new cord lock assembly should come completely assembled. Pop the cord lock mechanism out of the blind or shade headrail.
